Agnieszka Kalinowski, MD, PhD

Agnieszka Kalinowski, MD, PhD

Principal Investigator

Dr. Kalinowski is a board-certified psychiatrist and scientist whose work bridges clinical psychiatry and molecular neuroscience. She earned her MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and her PhD in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed psychiatry residency at Stanford. She founded the Kalinowski Laboratory to bring rigorous, patient-centered science to serious mental illness. Her research focuses on the neuroimmune basis of synaptic pathology in psychiatric disease.

Rivka Steinberg

Rivka Steinberg

Visiting Scholar

Rivka Steinberg is a MD candidate at the University of Michigan Medical School. Her research interests center on the role of the hormonal–immune axis in psychiatric disease and how a better understanding of these interactions may lead to improved patient care. She earned her bachelor's degree in Neurobiology and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
